Girls Bowling beats Greenville

The first conference match of the 2019-2020 High School Bowling Season was against the Greenville Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, December 18 at The Bowling Alley of Ionia.  Bowling for the Girls were Tatum Chambers-Lawrence, Haylie Beers, Emma Blake, Courtney Witten, Savannah Escobedo, and Olivia Dennie. 

The Girls had a solid outing, winning the match 22.5 – 7.5.  They came out strong with a 157 Baker Game, but lost by 2 pins; they came back to win the second Baker and Baker total pins.  Taking points in the individual matches were:  Emma Blakie, 2; Haylie Beers, 1.5; Tatum Chambers-Lawrence, 1; Olivia Dennie, 1; and Courtney Witten, 1.  High Games were rolled by:  Haylie Beers, 156; Courtney Witten, 164; and Emma Blakie with a 210.

The bowling teams will be off on holiday break for the next two weeks.  They will be back in action on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Jenison Invitational at Fairlanes Recreation Center.
