Lowell Red Arrows Varsity stole the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Coopersville on Friday. Lowell Red Arrows Varsity was down 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Logan Staley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
After Lowell Red Arrows Varsity scored one run in the top of the third, Coopersville answered with one of their own. Lowell Red Arrows Varsity scored when Benny Davis grounded out, scoring one run. Coopersville then answered when Klein grounded out, scoring one run.
Jackson Helder led things off on the hill for Lowell Red Arrows Varsity. He surrendered three runs on two hits over five innings, striking out nine.
Staley, Aiden Malone, Matt Stephens, and Davis each managed one hit to lead Lowell Red Arrows Varsity.
