Lowell Red Arrows move to 2-0 in Conference with a Blow-Out Victory

Lowell Red Arrows Varsity won big in game two over Cedar Springs on Wednesday evening.  Despite the winter temperatures and snow front moving in, the Arrows were able to put 12 runs on the board to move to 2-0 in conference play, 5-0 overall.

After going down two runs by the top of the second, Ally Lange began the momentum in the bottom of the second with a hard line shot double to left field. Kaia Zimmerman then collected the first RBI with a single pushing Lange across the plate.  Freshman catcher, Hanna Bogoski then bulleted a triple into the center-right field gap and with her unstoppable speed took advantage of a throwing error on the play, tying up the game in the bottom of the second.

Lowell Red Arrows Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Madison Jordan drew a walk, scoring one run, Krin Beach grounded out, scoring one run, and Allyson Lange's sac fly scored another run.  The Arrows then tagged on five more runs in the fifth inning. Madison Johnston, Jordan, and Beach each had RBIs in the frame, with Beach’s walk off single bringing the final two across the plate.

Lowell Red Arrows Varsity tallied 11 hits. Bogoski, Lange, and Corah Miller each racked up multiple hits for Lowell Red Arrows Varsity. Miller, Lange, and Bogoski all had two hits to lead Lowell Red Arrows Varsity. Madison Jordan and Krin Beach both recorded 3 RBIs in the game.

Madie Johnston led the Lowell Red Arrows Varsity to victory in the pitcher's circle. She went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out five and walking zero. Johnston moves to 1-0 in conference play from the mound and 2-0 overall.

The Lady Red Arrows look to finish out the conference sweep at Cedar Springs Friday night, first pitch 4:15pm.
