LADY ARROWS Finish 5th at the OK White Conference Meet
It was hot both on the track and off as the warm temps served to heat up the competition at the OK White Conference meet hosted by Lowell at Red Arrow Stadium. At the end of the meet GR Christian bested the field with EGR taking second which meant that they would share the title as EGR won the regular season and both the conference meet and regular are worth 50% of the value. Lowell used 14 PR’s, one school record, and overperformed in seven vents to score 75.5 points good enough for 5th place. This means that Lowell will tie Byron Center for 4th place in the overall conference standings.
Aubriegh Oswald was the lone Ok White champion for the Arrows winning the shot put with a throw of 34-09. Annika Sandman broke her school record in a fast 1600m taking 5th in 5:02.79. Sandman came back and took silver medalist honors in the 3200m going 11:00.21. Lowell had two other silver medalist honors as sisters Isabel and Emily German took 2nd in the 200m (26.87) and 100H (15.91) respectively. The two performances move Emily to #4 on the record board in the hurdles and Isabel to #9.

LADY ARROWS defeat Byron Center but fall short to Christian
The Lady Arrows started their spring OK White campaign by earning a split with Byron Center and Grand Rapids Christian. This was the first meet of the season, and it offered many surprises as two school records fell, and a couple of Arrows made their way on to the record board. Annika Sandman picked up where she left off in the fall by setting a record in both the 1600m and the 3200m record with times of 5:07 and 11:09 respectively which lowered each by 8 seconds. Newcomers Aubriegh Oswald hit 36-05.75 in the shot out which moves her to #4 all-time and Isabel German hit 9-0 in the Pole vault which gets her with a cast of others at #9. In addition to those marks, we saw 13 AQ marks hit earning them their varsity letter. The Arrows will have a day off before they travel to Caledonia for the Soderman relays on Saturday.
