Lowell takes 5th as 3 girls earn state meet berth

Game Date: May 19, 2023

The Red Arrows battled both foe and rain at the MHSAA D1 regional meet held at Portage Central. Lowell was still able to get the job done in the wet conditions as they scored in eleven events and crowned one regional champion. Annika and Katrina Sandman both hit the AQ mark in the 1600m as they finished 4^th and 6^th respectively. In the 3200m, Annika Sandman pulled away at the mile mark to get the win going 10:44 while sister Katrina took 4^th. Both performances qualified them for the state meet. Isabel German had a great day with a runner-up finish in the 400m and 4^th place finishes in both the 200m and the PV (11-03 met state meet AQ mark). Seniors Aubriegh Oswald and Ivy Mcdonald both earned 3^rd place finishes in the shot put and HJ while Leah Krieger grabbed 4^th in the 100H.
