Lowell Boys Cross Country Regional Results

Arrows Lose: -
The Lowell Boys Cross Country team concluded their season with a 9th place finish in a competitive field at Portage Central Regional Finals last Friday. Kalamazoo Central claimed 1st place with 41 points while Forest Hills Central and East Kentwood punched their tickets to Team Finals with 2nd and 3rd places. Cooper Byrne ran to an impressive finish of 16.49, good for 25th place. Marshall Huhn and Drew Swayze followed with times of 17.25 and 17.37, 41st and 48th. Mason Saylor was not far behind with a time of 17.42, 54th. Wyatt Remar was the 5th man in to cap the score in 73rd place, good for 18.35. Colin Stawasz and Paul Fowler concluded the varsity lineup with times of 18.41 and 18.54, 76th and 77th. Congratulations to the Boys Team on a fine season.

Lowell Boys Cross Country OK White Jamboree #4 Results

Lowell Boys Cross Country wrapped up the regular season on a beautiful day at Riverside Park with a 6th place finish in the OK White Conference Final last Wednesday. Grand Rapids Christian was crowned champion with 49 points followed by East Grand Rapids, 56 points, and Forest Hills Central at 70 points. Cooper Byrne and Marshall Huhn were 22nd and 24th,with times of 16.59 and 17.19. They were joined by Mason Saylor and Drew Swayze with places of 39th and 42nd, good for 17.42 and 17.47. Colin Stawasz completed the score with a 43d place at 17.49. Paul Fowler and Wyatt Remar rounded out the varsity lineup with times of 18.19 and 18.42. The Red Arrows will compete next Friday in regional competition at Portage West Middle School. 
Lowell Boys Cross Country Kent Ottawa Invitational Results

Mother Nature played nice for the Red Arrows on Friday with only light rains and a steady breeze as Lowell placed 6th in the Kent Division of the Kent Ottawa Invitational last Friday at South Christian High School. Grand Rapids Christian took top honors in the division with 57 points followed by GR Covenant Christian, 76 points and Rockford with 79 points. Cooper Byrne was Lowell's top medalist with a 7th place finish at 16.57. Marshal Huhn and Drew Swayze medaled as well with places of 12th and 16th at 17.19 and 17.26. Mason Saylor was the fourth Arrow in at 17.40, 28th place while Colin Stawasz wrapped up the score at 39th, 17.56. Paul Fowler, 44th, 18.11 and Wyatt Remar, 48th, 18.21 (PR) concluded the varsity lineup.
Lowell Boys Cross Country OK White Jamboree #3 Results

Lowell Boys Cross Country team took 5th place at their home course on Wednesday at the third OK White Jamboree. Grand Rapids Christian won with 37 points followed by Byron Center, 60 points, and East Grand Rapids, 78 points. Cooper Byrne was the first Arrow in at 18.08, 21st place followed by Marshall Huhn, 25th, 18.33 and Drew Swayze, 27th, 18.38. Not far behind were Mason Saylor, 30th, 18.45 and Colin Stawasz, 32nd, 18.49. Wyatt Remar and Paul Fowler completed the varsity lineup with places of 47th, 19.42 and 50th, 19.55 respectively. The Red Arrows next week will be Friday at the Kent Ottawa Invitational at South Christian High School.

Perfect fall conditions gave the Red Arrows another crack at setting some new PRs and several came through at the Allendale Invitational at Allendale High School last Saturday. Lowell Boys placed 12th in the Scarlet Division with 277 points while Allendale took their home meet with 53 points, followed by Grand Haven, 82 points and Jenison with 86 points. Cooper Byrne came in first for the Arrows with a time of 16.55, good for 31st place. Drew Swayze and Mason Saylor set new PRs with times of 17.11 and 17.22 and places of 46th and 55th. Colin Stawasz and Paul Fowler completed the score with PRs as well at 17.40 and 18.06 respectively, 68th and 76th place. Wyatt Remar and Brayden Hekman rounded the varsity lineup with times of 18.26 and 19.35.
Lowell Boys Cross Country Autumn Sunrise Invite Results

Lowell Boys Cross Country team took advantage of a fast course and the prospect of fresh Heidi's donuts at the end to secure 3rd place, 76 points, at the Autumn Sunrise Invitational at Covenant Christian High School last Saturday. Byron Center took 1st place with 52 points followed by Zeeland East with 75 points in the Autumn Division. Cooper Byrne dropped his PR to 16.38 for 6th place followed by Marshall Huhn's PR of 17.03, 10th. Drew Swayze was right behind Marshall with his PR of 17.24, 11th. Colin Stawasz captured his PR at 17.41, 22nd and Mason Saylor completed the score with a 27th place finish at 18.00. Paul Fowler set his PR with a 31st place at 18.23 followed by Antonio Casarez at 37th, 18.29. The Red Arrows next race will take place Saturday at the Allendale Invite at Allendale High School.

With a couple of runners out of the traditional lineup as a result of injury and illness, the Lowell Boys Cross Country team was challenged to step up and run as if they were still a full team. The Red Arrows accomplished that with a 6th place finish at the second OK White Jamboree at South Christian High School. Grand Rapids Christian took top honors with 45 points. East Grand Rapids followed with 56 points and Byron Center, third, with 69 points. Cooper Byrne was the first Arrow in at 17.21, 22nd soon followed by Marshall Huhn, 25th, 17.47. Drew Swayze was the third Arrow at 33rd, 18.09. Colin Stawasz had a strong finish, recording a PR with a time of 18.38, 46th place. Paul Fowler completed the score with a time of 18.53, good for 51st. Antonio Casarez and Brayden Hekman rounded out the varsity lineup at 58th and 64th, with times of 19.11 and 19.29.

The Lowell Boys Cross Country team took to a competitive field of teams to place 16th at the Ottawa Invitational at Riverside Park last Saturday. Forest Hills Central won the division with a convincing team score of 55 points, followed by Portage Central, 102 points and Kalamazoo Central, 115 points. Cooper Byrne was the first Arrow in at 30th place, breaking his previous PR with a new one of 16.52. Marshall Huhn, 67th, also broke his PR with a time of 17.41 while competing with just one shoe. Mason Saylor followed with a 86th place, good for 17.54. Drew Swayze and Cody Bromley wrapped up the Arrows score with times of 18.26, 115th and 18.32, 120th. Wyatt Remar and Colin Stawasz closed out the varsity lineup, neck and neck, with 137th and 138th places with the same time of 19.05
West Ottawa Bredeweg Invite Boys Cross Country Results

Cool temps and firm grounds greeted the Red Arrows at Saturday's Bredeweg Invitational at West Ottawa's Macatawa Bay Middle School resulting in several PR's for the team. Lowell placed 14th in a competitive field of 19 teams. Grand Haven won the event with 53 points followed by Zeeland West, 113 points and Forest Hills Central, 137 points. Cooper Byrne blistered the course with a time of 16.56, good for 20th place and a new PR. Marshall Huhn was the next Arrow in at 62nd with a new PR of 17.57. He was soon followed by Mason Saylor, 67th, 18.01. Drew Swayze, 76th, 18.14 and Cody Bromley, 87th, 18.35 completed the score. Paul Fowler and Wyatt Remur rounded out the varsity team with PR's themselves at 18.38 and 18.42 respectively. The team's next meet will see them at Riverside Park again on Friday for the Ottawa Invitational.
OK White Jamboree Boys Cross Country Results

Lowell Boys Cross Country began conference play with a 6th place finish, 149 points, at the OK White Jamboree at Riverside Park, Wednesday afternoon. Grand Rapids Christian took top honors with 41 points, followed by East Grand Rapids, 68 points and Byron Center, 76 points. Cooper Bryne was the first Red Arrow in at 22nd with a time of 17.10. Cody Bromley and Mason Saylor were next at 32nd and 33rd, 17.55 and 17.56. Drew Swayze and Marshall Huhn set PRs with times of 18.06 and 18.09, good for 36th and 37th place which completed the score. Paul Fowler set a PR as well with a time of 18.39 followed by Brayden Hekman with a season best of 19.01.
Boys Varsity Cross Country Under the Lights

Under The Lights Invitational: Lowell Boys Cross Country traveled to a new meet of the season, Under The Lights Invitational at South Christian High School. Running in the evening and with lights throughout the course, the Red Arrows placed 6th in the Big School Division with 123 points. Allendale took top honors with a score of 49 points, Byron Center, 2nd with 64 points, followed by Rockford with 78 points. Cooper Byrne set a PR with a time of 17.03, 15th place. Cody Bromley was 29th, 17.47 (PR), Mason Saylor, 31st, 17.51. Drew Swayze and Marshall Huhn also ran PR's with times of 18.08, 41st and 18.21, 46th. Claiming the last two varsity spots were Wyatt Remur, 61st, 19.09 (PR) and Paul Fowler, 65th. The Red Arrows will begin OK White competition on September 7th at Riverside Park.
Boys Varsity Cross Country Baker Woods Invite

 Lowell Boys Cross Country team took on hot/humid conditions and the toughest cross country course in Michigan to claim first place at the Baker Woods Invitational in Hesperia last Wednesday with 20 points. Mason County Eastern was second with 47 points followed by Calvin Christian, 75 points. Cooper Byrne won the meet with a time of 19.30. Mason Saylor and Marshall Huhn claimed the next two spots with times of 20.11 and 20.19. Drew Swayze and Cody Bromley completed the score with 6th and 8th places, 21.05 and 21.29. Wyatt Remur and  Antonio Casarez rounded out the varsity team with times of 21.52 and 21.55 respectively.  
Portage Central Early Bird Invite Results

The Lowell Boys Cross Country Team kicked off the season with a respectable 7th place finish out of 18 teams at the Portage Central Early Bird Invitational at Portage West Middle School last Saturday. Kalamazoo Central won the meet with 42 points followed by Rockford with 84 points. Kalamazoo Homeschool Sports took 3rd place honors with 97 points. Cooper Byrne was the first Red Arrow in at 17th overall with a time of 17.30 establishing a PR (personal record) early in the season. Cody Bromley hit the finish line in 50th at 18.27 followed by Mason Saylor, 53rd, 18.40. Drew Swayze was not far behind with a 57th position at 18.47. Marshall Huhn rounded out the score with a 69th place at 19.10. Completing the Varsity lineup were Paul Fowler, 82nd, 19.32 and Antonio Casarez, 91st, 19.56. The Red Arrows will have a busy second week with meets at Hesperia and South Christian High School.
