Solid Season for Boys Cross Country

Arrows Lose: -
Lowell Boys Cross Country team concluded their season with a 12th place showing at the Portage Central Regional. Kalamazoo Central took top honors with 75 points with Portage Central close behind at 78 points. Forest Hills Central grabbed 3rd place with 98 points to earn their ticket to the State Finals. Ben Bromley was the first Arrow in at 17.19, 42nd place followed by Levi Mills, 43rd, 17.20. Freshman Mason Saylor ended his season with a personal record of 17.39, 54th place. Not far behind was Rhys Sandman at 17.48, good for 57th place. Braylon Iakiri capped off the score with a 70th place at 18.09. Dannion Simmet, 76th, 18.22 and Cooper Byrne, 87th, 18.56 concluded the varsity lineup respectively. Congratulations to the Red Arrows team on a solid season for the year.

The Lowell Boys Cross Country Team completed the regular season with a 5th place showing, 129 points, at Riverside Park for the OK White Conference Finals. East Grand Rapids took top honors with 29 points followed by Grand Rapids Christian, 50 points, and Forest Hills Central, 64 points. Ben Bromley led the Arrows with a 14th place finish of 16.38. As a result of his racing, Ben made the All Conference Team. Levi Mills was the second Arrow in at 23rd, 17.17. A pack of Arrows followed with Rhys Sandman, 32nd, 17.40, Dannion Simmet, 33rd, 17.45 (personal record), and Mason Saylor, 34th, 17.45, a personal record as well. Braylon Iakiri, 42nd, 18.08 and Antonio Casarez, 43rd, 18.11, a season best, rounded out the varsity lineup. The Red Arrows will take the next week to prepare for Regionals at Portage Central on Friday, October 28th.

A brisk autumn day greeted the Red Arrows Saturday at the Kent Ottawa Invite at Gainey Athletic Complex. Lowell placed 5th with 91 points. Forest Hills Northern took top honors with 48 points, followed by Grand Rapids Track Club, 51 points, and Rockford third with 81 points. Ben Bromley took medal honors with a 5th place finish at 17.14. Levi Mills also grabbed a medal with a 8th place finish at 17.51. A pack of Arrows came in with Rhys Sandman leading the way at 25th, 18.13 followed by Braylon Iakiri, 26th, 18.28, and Dannion Simmet, 27th, 18.30. Mason Saylor, 32nd, 18.36 and Antonio Casarez, 38th, 18.43 completed the varsity team.

Perfect fall racing conditions greeted the Red Arrows as they competed in the Allendale Invite on Saturday at Allendale High School. Lowell Boys teame placed 5th with 143 points in a competitive Scarlet Division. Grand Haven won the race with 59 points followed by Jenison, 65 points. Ben Bromley was the first Arrow in with a PR time of 16.35, good for 12 place. Levi Mills earned a season best of 17.01, 21st place. Rhys Sandman was just off his PR of last week with a 33rd place at 17.34. Braylon Iakiri was close behind with a PR of 17.40 for 35th place. Dannion Simmet concluded the score with a season best time of 17.58, 42nd place. Mason Saylor was not far behind with a 45th place at 18.03 and Antonio Casarez completed the varsity lineup with a 50th place showing at 18.29. The Red Arrows next meet will be Wednesday at home for the third OK White Jamboree. They will have the weekend off to rest and prepare for the OK White Conference Final and Regionals at Portage Central.
Boys Varsity Cross Country earns 1st place at Autumn Sunrise Invite

Cool temperatures and a goal of aggressive racing led the Lowell Boys Cross Country team to earn first place with 48 points at the Autumn Sunrise Invite at Covenant Christian High School Saturday. Fruitport placed second with 67 points and Holland High was good for third with 82 points. Ben Bromley earned runner up honors, 2nd, with a time of 16.42 followed by Levi Mills 6th, 17.07. Rhys Sandman was the third Arrow in at 17.34, good for 10th place. Wrapping up the score were Braylon Iakiri, 13th, 17.43 and Mason Saylor 17th, 17.55. Dannion Simmet and Cooper Byrne completed the varsity lineup at 22nd, 18.10 and 24th, 18.14. The Red Arrows next meet will take place on Saturday, October 1st at Allendale High School.

Lowell Boys Cross Country placed 5th with 141 points in the second OK White Jamboree at South Christian High School. Ben Bromley was the first Arrow in, 12th place at 17.04 followed by Levi Mills, 25th, 17. 49. Rhys Sandman, 34th, 18.16, Mason Saylor 36th, 18.17, and Braylon Iakiri, 42nd, 18.32 completed the score for the Red Arrows.

A late summer heat greeted cross country teams Friday at the Ottawa Invite, held at Riverside Park, but the Red Arrows were still able to come away with 9 personal records and 7 season best times. Lowell Boys team placed 9th with 223 points in a competitive race with Portage Central taking the division with 83 points. Ben Bromley earned a PR with a 16th place and time of 16.39. Levi Mills was the second Arrow in at 42nd, 17.40. Almost breaking into the 17.00s was Dannion Simmet , 55th, 18.00. Close behind was Rhys Sandman who earned a PR with a time of 18.01, good for 65th. Braylon Iakiri completed the score with his own PR of 18.14, 65th. Mason Saylor, 78th, 18.29 and Cooper Byrne, 90th, PR of 18.45 rounded out the varsity lineup. Next meet is Wednesday for the second OK White Jamboree at South Christian High School.

Season Bests and Personal Records were established on a fast course at the West Ottawa Bredeweg Invite on Saturday at Macatawa Bay Middle School. Lowell Boys team placed 8th with 217 points. Ben Bromley was the top Arrow in with a 9th place finish at 16.57. Levi Mills crossed the line in 33rd, 17.44. Rhys Sandman was the third Arrow in at 57th, 18.21 followed by Braylon Iakiri, 59th with a PR of 18.25. Mason Saylor was close behind at 62nd, PR of 18.27. Cooper Byrne ran a PR as well with a time of 18.48 good for 78th place. Antonio Casarez completed the varsity lineup with a time of 18.50, 81st place. In the Boys JV race Seth Cross took a medal with a 21st place showing at 20.41 as well as Paul Fowler, 29th, 20.50. The Red Arrows next competition is Friday at Riverside Park for the Ottawa Hills Invite.
Boys Varsity Cross Country OK White Conference Meet

The Lowell Boys Cross Country competed in their first OK White conference meet at Gainey Athletic Complex finishing in 4th place with 123 points. East Grand Rapids won the meet on a tie break with 44 points, followed by Forest Hills Central, 44 points, and Grand Rapids Christian, third, 72 points. Ben Bromley crossed the finish line in 5th place at 16.52 followed by Levi Mills, 26th, 18.15. Dannion Simmet and Rhys Sandman came in together at 32nd and 33rd, with times of 18.45 and 18.46. Mason Saylor wrapped up fourth place for the team with a place of 35th at 18.54. Cooper Byrne and Antonio Casarez rounded out the varsity lineup at 41st and 44th respectively with times of 19.08 and 19.19.
Boys Varsity Cross Country Finishes Top 5 at Benzie

Lowell Boys Varsity Cross Country went to the flattest piece of earth in Benzie County to place 5th with 141 points at the Pete Moss Benzie Central Invite on Saturday. Earning medals for the team were Ben Bromley, 7th, at 17.04, Levi Mills, 24th, 17.47, and Dannion Simmet, 33rd, 18.21. Rounding out the score were Braylon Iakiri, 37th, 18.30 and Rhys Sandman, 40th, 18.35. Competing in the varsity lineup were Mason Saylor, 44th, 18.43, Cooper Byrne, 53rd, 19.24, and Antonio Casarez, 54th, 19.27. The Red Arrows will have a week off of racing until the first OK White Jamboree after Labor Day. The Boys JV team earned a place on the team podium with a 3rd place finish in the JV race with 70 points. Earning hardware were Jacob Morrell, 8th, 19.30, Brayden Hekman, 9th, 19.46, Zach Boehr, 14th, 20.19, and Seth Cross, 18th, 20.47.

Lowell Boys Cross Country team ran one of the most challenging cross country courses in the state and came away with a first place finish in the Hesperia Invite at Baker Woods Course. Lowell took first place with 25 points followed by Grandville Calvin Christian, 48 points and Grant with 65 points. Fourteen Arrows medaled in the race. Ben Bromley was the first Arrow in 3rd place, 19.21 followed by Dannion Simmet, 4th, 20.17, Levi Mills, 5th, 20.19, Rhys Sandman, 6th, 20.21 and Mason Saylor, 7th, 20.36. Rounding out the varsity team were Cooper Byrne, 9th, 20.57 and Braylon Iakiri, 10th, 20.59. Earning medals as well in the Top 25 were Antonio Casarez, 11th, 21.02, Brayden Hekman, 13th, 22.37, Jacob Morrell, 14th, 22.39, Wyatt Remur, 18th, 24.03, Paul Fowler, 19th, 24.05, Seth Cross, 21st, 24.24, and Zach Boehr, 23rd, 24.41.
