Lowell Red Arrows JV stole the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Grand Ledge on Friday. The game was tied at one with Lowell Red Arrows JV batting in the top of the fifth when Macy Huver doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Despite falling down by seven runs in the sixth inning, Grand Ledge tried to fight back. Grand Ledge scored four runs in the failed comeback. Stange, McDiarmid, Badillo, and Meissnerfueled the rally with RBIs.

After Lowell Red Arrows JV scored one run in the top of the seventh, Grand Ledge answered with one of their own. Lowell Red Arrows JV scored when Kelsey Stephens doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Grand Ledge then answered when Meissner singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Lowell Red Arrows JV scored four runs in the sixth inning. Lowell Red Arrows JV batters contributing to the big inning included Jillian Weston and Huver, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Olivia Outman was the winning pitcher for Lowell Red Arrows JV. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and seven runs while striking out nine and walking zero.

Meissner took the loss for Grand Ledge. She allowed seven hits and nine runs over seven innings, striking out eight.
