It was a strong day for the Red Arrows as they finished 2-0 before heading down to Gulf Shores for Spring Break. Lowell was able to get off to a quick start, scoring 10 runs in the 1st inning. Led by Taylor White's double (almost left the ballpark), Kelsey Stephens (2-2, 3 RBI), Alyvia Hopkins (2-3, 3 RBI, 2 runs), Blaze Anes 2-2, 2 RBI, 2 runs), and Sydney Zandstra (2-2, 2 runs). Macy Huver won the toughness award with 2 "Hit-by-pitch" while also scoring 2 runs.
While were were multiple highlights with the bats, Sydney Zandstra and Olivia Outman stole the show in the circle. A combined "No Hitter", Syd and Olivia struck out 8 of 9 batters faced. Blaze Anes caught game 2 and did a very nice job.
Lowell will head down for some warm weather, team bonding, and focus on getting better each day. The Red Arrows will face Cedar Springs when they return.
