The Lady Red Arrows traveled to Canton for the Michigan Challenge Saturday & Sunday and showed up to compete. Lowell went 4-1 on the weekend and came out on top. They were the Tier 1 Championship Winners thanks to extraordinary pitching and hot bats, including 5 dingers on the weekend. The wins this weekend moved the Red Arrows to 23-7 on the season.
The weekend was one for the record books for many of the players. Emily Depew pitched with outstanding stats at the end of the weekend. Depew pitched 22 innings on the weekend, allowing just 9 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned runs and 7 walks. Depew had an incredible 32 strike outs in her 22 innings of play and left the Michigan Challenge with an unbelievable ERA of 0.636.
Offensively for the weekend, Depew, Maddi Jordan, Jenna Perry, Kylee Stephens and Corah Miller were all standouts. All five lady arrows accumulated the following in just five games:
