The Red Arrows took Game 2 Saturday in another back and forth game and eventual two run spread, 7-5. Lowell took an early lead in the second inning when Krin Beach grounded out, scoring one run.  They put up a total of three runs in the second inning, Jenna Perry and Beach both driving in runs in the frame. Traverse City West turned around and evened things up at three in the top of the third inning.  Lowell took the lead for good with one run scored on an error in the fourth inning. Traverse City West scored one run in the top of the sixth, but the Arrows answered with one of their own. 

Seemingly always finding a way to help herself out on the mound, Emily Depew doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, sealing the deal for the Red Arrows.  Depew pitched Lowell to victory once again, surrendering five runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three.  Depew and Kenzie Jordan each managed multiple hits for Lowell Red Arrows Varsity. Depew led Lowell Red Arrows Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

The sweep Saturday moves the Lowell Varsity Softball team to 9-1 on the season looking to gain momentum coming into a very tough tournament in Battle Creek next weekend.
