Lowell Narrowly Holds Onto Lead to Win Game 1 Against Traverse City West

The Red Arrows got out to a seven-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for an 8-6 victory over Traverse City West in their first of two games Saturday. Traverse City West scored six runs in the failed comeback. Both offenses were strong at the plate as Lowell Red Arrows Varsity collected nine hits and Traverse City West six in the high-scoring affair.
Emily Depew added another win to her starting record in the circle. She went seven innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out nine. Depew also scored the first three runs of the game in the first inning with a rocket triple off the fence. Lowell then went on to tag on four runs in the fourth inning led by Jenna Perry, Hanna Bogoski, and Madison Jordan; each driving in runs in the inning.
The Red Arrows Varsity collected nine total hits. Corah Miller and Maddi Jordan all collected multiple hits for the Arrows. Miller led Lowell with three hits in three at bats.
