Lowell Varsity Red Arrow's two pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as they defeated Byron Center 3-1 on Wednesday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Lowell pitchers struck out 13, while Byron Center pitchers sat down five.
Peyton Teachworth earned the victory on the mound for Lowell. The fireballer surrendered one run on zero hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Spike threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Spike recorded the last four outs to earn the save.
Blake Bennett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lowell in hits.
