Girls Bowling loses to Hudsonville

The first individual match of the 2019-20 High School Bowling season was a non-conference match against Hudsonville at The Bowling Alley in Ionia.  Seniors Emma Blakie, Olivia Dennie and Jessica Hull;  Sophomores Tatum Chambers-Lawrence and Savannah Escobedo; and Freshmen Haylie Beers and Courtney Witten rotated through the individual and Baker matches.  Although the girls had several close individual matches and won one Baker game, they came out on the losing end of the final score, 6.5 – 23.5. 

High scores were rolled by Haylie Beers with a 197 to take her individual point, and Emma Blakie with a 148 and 157 for a tie and a win in her two individual matches.

The Girls will be back in action next week Tuesday, December 17 and Wednesday, December 18, for the first Conference matches of the season, 3:30 p.m. at The Bowling Alley of Ionia.
