Boys Bowling Loses to Greenville

The first conference match of the 2019-2020 High School Bowling Season was against the Greenville Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, December 18 at The Bowling Alley of Ionia.  Bowling for the Boys A were:  Lucas Sloma, Mitchell Anderson, Aaron Fritsma, Nathaniel Dewitt, Taylor Chambers, and Collin Clark.

In the first Baker game, the Boys started strong and were neck and neck for the first 8 frames.  Unfortunately, a big split in the 9^th slowed them down and they lost the game by 11 pins.  That downturn set the tone as the Boys lost the match 1 – 29.  Lucas Sloma took his individual point in game 2.  Collin Clark rolled a high game 214.

The B Team got in some good practice and demonstrated solid progress.  High games were rolled by Ian Schwartz, 122; Dustin Richardson, 114; Amelia Wells, 113; Jared Boland, 113 and 101; and Keith Macdermaid with a 141.

The bowling teams will be off on holiday break for the next two weeks.  They will be back in action on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Jenison Invitational at Fairlanes Recreation Center.
