Boys Bowling loses to Hudsonville

The first individual match of the 2019-20 High School Bowling season was a non-conference match against Hudsonville at The Bowling Alley in Ionia.  Senior Aaron Fritsma, Juniors Jakob Reynolds and Ian Schwartz, and Sophomores Lucas Sloma, Nathaniel DeWitt, and Mitchell Anderson rotated through the A Squad individual and Baker matches.  The boys ran into a buzzsaw against the highly experienced and deep bench of the Hudsonville team – a perennial power house in the OK Red - and lost 0-30.

Bowling for the Boys B team were Gunnar Nelson, Dustin Richardson, Liam Carpenter, Jared Boland and Keith Macdermaid, all Freshmen who are new to competitive bowling.   They focused on consistent mechanics and gaining exposure to match play. Congratulations to Keith Macdermaid on rolling a 142 and winning a point in the 1-29 loss.  

The Boys will be back in action next week Tuesday, December 17 and Wednesday, December 18, for the first Conference matches of the season, 3:30 p.m. at The Bowling Alley of Ionia.
