Arrows Hit Goals and 1^st Place at Autumn Sunrise Invite

The Lady Arrows worked on matching up to the other team’s line-ups and came away with a 1st place finish at the Autumn Sunrise Invitational. Matching up to other teams was a common practice back in the dual meet days but with jamborees and invites has become a lost art. Today the Arrows were assigned the goal of finishing better than the same number runner from the other team which should help pay dividends later in the season. Annika Sandman kicked off the day by taking medalist honors with a school record time of 18:18 which bettered her 18:22 set this past Wednesday. Katrina Sandman finished in 6^th place with a 19:56, Keira Sandman finished in 9^th with a 20:19, Claire O’Boyle finished in 16^th with a 25 sec PR of 21:00, and Megan Lillie closed out the scoring taking 26^th place in 21:32. Jamara Harper and Kaylee Byrne completed the varsity squad finishing in 34^th and 54^th place respectively. In addition to the trophy the varsity top 5 average time of 20:13 is the #4 team average time on the LHS record board.

The JV runners closed out the day with solid times on the two lap course. Anna Forney ran 26:03, Kian Burgess ran 26:19, and Bri Fullerton capped a busy homecoming weekend with a time of 27:45.
