Arrows Finish Season with Fast Times at Regionals

The Lowell girls XC team took advantage of cool temps, a fast track and fast company as they closed the season with numerous PR’s and an 8^th place finish at the MHSAA regional meet hosted by Benzie Central. Every girl ran considerably faster than they did back in August when the team first raced on the course as the team left with five PR’s and two season best times. The meet was won by #2 ranked Traverse City Central, with Rockford edging out FHN by 2 points for second place.

Audrey Conrad closed out her career as a Red Arrow just missing the state meet cut line as she took 16^th place in 19:14. Her time moves her to the #2 all-time mark for Lowell HS. Annika Sandman continued to make her mark as she took 34^th place in a time of 20:00 which makes her the 4^th fastest freshman on the Lowell record board. Lauren Swain was the third Arrow across the line in 56^th place with a time of 21:14 almost a minute faster than her race in August on the same course. Rounding out the scoring for the Arrows was Keira Sandman (64^th) and Theresa Judd (65^th) both with PR times of 21:44 and 21:51 respectively. Closing out the varisty team was Canaan Mckinney in 66^th with a PR time of 21:57 and Alexis Haines in 69^th with a season best time of 22:13.
