Boys Varsity Cross Country Wins Kent Ottawa Invite

Lowell Boys Cross Country team took advantage of firm grounds and cool temps to take the first six places in the Black Division race of the Kent Ottawa Invite, claiming first place with 15 points. Grand Rapids Christian took second with 58 points, followed by East Grand Rapids with 80 points. Scoring for the Red Arrows were Cole Weston, 1st, 17.02, Sawyer Fowler, 2nd, 17.08, Jackson Fowler, 3rd, 17.18, Keegan Cater, 4th, 17.22, and John Lothian, 5th, 17.22. Rounding out the varsity lineup were Levi Mills, 6th, 17.35 and Ben Bromley, 11th, 17.42. Blake Bennett completed the course with a time of 18.05 while Alex Weber and Evan Klein earned personal records with times of 18.34 and 18.36. The varsity teams' next competition will be this Saturday at Cedar Springs for the Pre Regional Race.
