Boys Varsity Cross Country Runs to 3rd Place at Allendale Invite

Lowell Boys Cross Country Team took advantage of a fast course and good weather to capture first place in their division with 31 points at the Allendale Invite on Saturday. Brownstown Woodhaven placed second with 71 points, followed by Belding with 93 points. Scoring for the Red Arrows were Cole Weston, 2nd, 16.26, Sawyer Fowler, 4th, 16.47, Jackson Fowler, 6th, 17.00, Keegan Cater, 7th, 17.00, and John Lothian, 12th, 17.31. Ben Bromley and Blake Bennett came in respectably in 18th and 19th, with times of 17.51 and 17.58.
The team's effort led to a third place overall trophy when combined with the other divisions as the invite took place over two days. Cole Weston and Sawyer Jackson earned medals, placing 9th and 25th overall with their times. Lowell's next competition will take place next Wednesday at Byron Center for the third OK White Jamboree.
