Boys Cross Country Places 2nd and Swart Breaks Coach's 30-year Record

The Lowell Boys Cross Country team placed 2nd with 106 points behind Grand Rapids Christian who captured 1st with 86 points. Medaling in the event were Caleb Swart, 3rd (16.01), Ben Kinnucan, 12th (16.30), Lucas Cossar, 23rd (16.56), Cole Weston, 34th (17.17), and Sawyer Fowler, 38th (17.24). Finishing for the Varsity were Nigel Mika, 44th (17.31), Jackson Fowler, 58th (17.52) and Zach Swart, 94th (18.46).
Caleb Swart's time of 16.01 was of special significance as he established a new record for fastest time in Lowell Cross Country breaking the 30 year record of 16.10 held by Lowell Boys Coach Clay VanderWarf.
The Junior Varsity boys represented Lowell well by placing second in the JV race. Earning medals in the race were Ben Bromley, 4th (18.08), John Lothian, 7th (18.24), Levi Mills, 11th (18.37), and Keegan Cater, 16th (18.46) and Blake Bennett 32nd (19.05). The Red Arrows get some well deserved rest and will compete next at the OK White Jamboree in Lowell on September 4th.
