Game 1: Bats Stymied For Both Teams As Lowell Varsity Red Arrows Loses To Mason Varsity Bulldogs By GameChanger Media Both teams were strong on the bump on Saturday, but Mason Varsity Bulldogs was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. Bryce Lehman started the game for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows and recorded 18 outs. Lehman struck out 10 batters on the day. The starter also surrendered two hits and two runs over six innings while walking three. Mason Varsity Bulldogs opened the scoring in the bottom of the fourth thanks to two errors. Mason Varsity Bulldogs first got on the board when an error scored one run. Colton McCaleb earned the win for Mason Varsity Bulldogs. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking one. Eli Tower, Lehman, and Nolan LaRose each collected one hit for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. Game 2: Lowell Varsity Red Arrows Secure Win Against Cadillac Varsity Vikings By GameChanger Media Lowell Varsity Red Arrows defeated Cadillac Varsity Vikings 12-8 on Saturday at 1001 S Barnes St. Cadillac Varsity Vikings were the first to get on the board in the first when Drew Kornacki singled, scoring one run. Lowell Varsity Red Arrows captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Bryce Lehman flew out, and Kaden Gosney singled, each scoring one run. Lowell Varsity Red Arrows added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Cadillac Varsity Vikings committed an error, and Nolan LaRose singled to left field, each scoring one run. Cadillac Varsity Vikings captured the lead, 5-4, in the top of the third when Barron Hellowell singled, scoring two runs, Connor Hill was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Colton Mulder hit into a double play, but one run scored. Thomas Judge laid down a sacrifice bunt, which helped Lowell Varsity Red Arrows tie the game at five in the bottom of the third. In the top of the fourth, Cadillac Varsity Vikings broke up the tie when Kornacki singled, scoring two runs. Then a ground out by Hellowell followed to extend the lead to 8-5. Lowell Varsity Red Arrows flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on three hits to take the lead, 12-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Judge that drove in two. Justin Ungurean earned the win for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. The hurler surrendered two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Trey Sparks took the loss for Cadillac Varsity Vikings. The hurler went one-third of an inning, surrendering six runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Gosney started the game for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. The right-handed pitcher gave up four hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking four. Kornacki opened the game for Cadillac Varsity Vikings.
