Lowell High School

Warm weather and a deep field greeted the Red Arrows as they participated in the Hastings Team Invitational. Using the MITCA team scoring meant that EVERYONE entered mattered as all finishers scored based on the number of participants entered in the event. This means that an event that had 39 participants had a scoring that went from 39 down to 1 based on their finish; with the only exception is that the athlete must have finished with a time or mark. I love the format as a coach as everything matters. Freshman Kendall Schmuker left with three medals as she placed in the 100m (5th), 200m (4th), and the 400m(2nd) going 13.50, 27.76PR, and 63.43PR, respectively. Lowell had two other medalists as Emma Putnam claimed 6th in the 300H with a time of 51.12 and Olivia Lothian took 3rd in the PV going 10-06. Lowell is back in action on Tuesday at Kenowa Hills HS for the second RCA Quad.
