Some of the top teams in our regional and conference greeted the Red Arrows when they got off of the bus in Hastings as part of their annual invitational. Using the MITCA scoring format meant that every Arrow needed to get a time or mark to score. The nice thing about the format is that everyone is part of putting points on the scoreboard which is unique in most track invitationals. The highlight of the meet came near the end of the meet when junior Marshall Huhn set the new school record as he won the event in 9:25.75 breaking teammate Cooper Byrne’s mark from 2025. Huhn’s win followed up a 1600m win that occurred four hours earlier going 4:23.13. Lowell wasn’t done in the 3200m as Cooper Byrne grabbed the 4th place medal in 9:44.49 and Cody Bromley went under 10:00 as he grabbed the final medal in 9:54.79. Lowell grabbed an additional medal as senior Marek Pullen finished 3rd in the 100m with a time of 11.36. Lowell is back in action on Tuesday at Kenowa Hills HS for the second RCA Quad.
