Byrne Brothers Compete at MHSAA Sk State Final

Arrows Lose: -
Colton and Cooper Byrne competed at the Division 2 State Finals yesterday.
Colton finished 21st in slalom and 22nd in GS and Cooper finished 28th in slalom and 39th in GS. They both battled through some tough courses and conditions against 70 of the top racers in our division! Well done Red Arrows!
Cooper Byrne also qualified this weekend for the U16 Rocky/Central Junior Championship Team. He will travel to Crested Butte, CO to compete in the U16 Prater Cup Championships on March 10-13th. Best of luck to Cooper!

Arrows Lose: -
The Red Arrows raced a full conference championship race on Tuesday to end out the regular race season.
The team took 9th in GS
Top 10 finishers: Cooper Byrne in 4th
Scoring: Cooper Byrne, Ramsey Ponchaud, Anders Melby and Mitchell Swint
The team took 5th in slalom
Top 10 finishers: Colton Byrne in 4th
Scoring: Colton Byrne, Cooper Byrne, Anders Melby and Ramsey Ponchaud
Colton and Cooper Byrne will compete at the Division 2 State Finals on Monday, Feb. 27th. Good luck to both!

Congratulations to Colton Byrne and Cooper Byrne who both qualified to compete in the MHSAA Ski State Finals on February 27 at Boyne Mountain. At Tuesday's MHSAA Regional at Cannonsburg, Colton was 2nd in Giant Slalom and 5th in Slalom. Cooper was 6th in Giant Slalom and 4th in Slalom.
Overall, the team finished 9th out of 13 teams.

We battled through some rough course conditions on Friday night, but came out in 5th place for slalom and 7th for GS.

The Red Arrows took some nice top five finishes last night with Colton Byrne taking first in slalom and 2nd in GS and Cooper taking 5th in slalom. In team scores we came up short in the overall against GR Christian and West Catholic/Catholic Central

Arrows Lose: -
The Red Arrows took 3rd against EGR, Rockford and Northview last night in racing action.
EGR 1st
Rockford 2nd
Lowell 3rd
Northview 4th
Colton Byrne took 1st in Giant Slalom and 2nd in slalom
Cooper Byrne took 7th in Giant Slalom and 6th in slalom
Also bringing in points for the team were Anders Melby and Ramsey Ponchaud in both Giant Slalom and Slalom.
Sam and Sophie Konyndyk, Kaleb DeYoung and Mitchell Swint also had successful races last night as well.
Next Tuesday at 4pm the Red Arrows will take on CC/WC and GRC.
Varsity Skiing 7th at Caberfae

Arrows Lose: -
On Friday, the ski team traveled to Caberfae and competed against all 10 Division 1 and Division 2 teams in the conference. As the first official race of the season, the Red Arrows took 7th overall in GS and SL combined. In Slalom we took 6th and in Giant Slalom we took 8th.
Scoring for Lowell in GS was Cooper Byrne in 15th, Colton Byrne in 38th, Anders Melby in 39th and Sam Konyndky in 47th. Also racing GS were Kaleb Young and Mitchell Swint.
Scoring for Lowell in slalom was Colton Byrne in 6th, Cooper Byrne in 13th, Sophie Konyndyk in 38th and Sam Konyndyk in 39th. Ramsey Ponchaud and Anders Melby also raced slalom.
